Psychological service

The psychological service of Kharkiv University of Humanities “People’s Ukrainian Academy” was created in 1992. It releases its activity by interaction with students and pupils of the academy.

The aim of thus cooperation is to contribute to the solution of complex psychological and pedagogical tasks that exist in cultural-educational academic environment, and exactly thus environment develops the personality of preschool, school children, students in every possible way.

The subject of the activity of psychological service is problem areas of educational process, which includes psychological components and that are outlined by a framework of professional competence of psychologists.

Research and managerial functions concerning problem areas are performed by the means of identification, synthesis, analysis, reflection and other cogitative activities oriented to the problem. Performing function is provided by implementation of the main activities. Main activities include: diagnostic, educational, consulting, preventive activity and others.

The main tasks of psychological service are:

- integration of scientific knowledge of the development of the personality into practical implementation of opportunities of this development in the conditions of a complex life-long education;

- professional participation in implementation of strategic directions of  the development of the academy;

- psychological support of the areas of succession;

- maintenance of the problems that exist in development of a complex of life-long education a psychological component;

- providing a complex that have of psychological knowledge and increases in the level of psychological culture directed at improvement of a microclimate in groups;

- implementation of complex activities, that help to form thinking based on acceptance of responsibility for own health and a health choice as the main vital value for a person.
