Even though my life has been connected to the Academy for over 17 years now (I first joined as a student of the Business Administration department in 2001) it’s not until a few days ago I took part in an outing that was organized by the Academy for the first time and I must say that it left a profound and lasting impression!
Before the trip the Dean of the Translation&Interpreting department Iryna Anufriieva has shared a bit about the museum we were about to see and it was difficult to believe that we indeed are going to see the originals of some of the world’s greatest artists without having to fly to Paris, Madrid or New York, instead that art treasure was less than 100 km away!
Followed by a relatively short bus ride we found ourselves in a village called Parkhomovka that is adjacent to the Krasnokutsk region. I don’t want to go into too much detail about the museum itself as I fear this review would in that case might turn into a major spoiler for those of you who will go to Parkhomovka art museum in future, let me just say that I am extremely grateful for the oppor-tunity to join the students of all 3 departments of the Academy in that amazing and eye-opening trip!
