This Friday we had an amazing opportunity of dipping into the country of Japan. What an interesting journey it was. It is always important to learn about other countries and cultures. We are used to analyzing the culture of Europe, and this time Asian culture has changed out routine a bit. It opened up this part of the world from an entire different side. We listened to Japanese poetry, watched an entertaining cartoon about love and learned how to make a crane out of origami paper.
Our students danced to popular Japanese songs and displayed a traditional dance of geishas with fans. It seemed as if the Sakura (Cherry Blossoms) blossoms filled up the whole room, such was the atmosphere surrounding us. But the Euroclub never consists of one topic, students often talk about their latest trips to other countries. This time the student of 4th year told us about a trip to the South part of France - Normandie, where they had a chance of working and spending time with the mayor of Collvile sur Mer.
Evenings like this always inspire us, I am so happy that children from other schools can come and see for themselves what a wonderful creative and fun family they can some time be part of. An hour like this can enrich our outlook, growth of which is extremely important for any professional nowadays. I am sure the whole Academic is looking forward to the next Euroclub.
