Graduated with a specialist degree in Translation (English and French) from Kharkov University of Humanities "People's Ukrainian Academy" (2009).
During my studies Tatyana received language training at the French International School "Azyurlingva" Nice, France.
Since 2016 she has been teaching English to young learners of primary and secondary school in Specialized Economics and Law School (SELS).
English Teaching Approach:
Games and fun activities (songs, clips, movements, flashcards) are a vital part of teaching English in the primary school. Each activity will help children enjoy a dynamic learning atmosphere and practise at least one of the skills: reading, writing, listening or speaking. The aim is not linguistic perfection, but to get children motivated and interested in learning about the world.
Games and fun activities for the secondary school children are more complicated. The focus is on spoken English. Classroom activities should be meaningful and involve real life communication. The usage of different communicative teaching methods (role-play, survey, pair and group work) helps improve communicative competence in English.
Out-of-class Activity:
Tatyana participates in the "English Theatre" lessons with the primary school children, where children study biographical data of famous English-speaking writers. Participation in the school theatre helps children improve self-confidence, public speaking skills, develop kinesthetic, thinking skills and the ability to achieve a goal, learn how to cooperate with people in different life situations.
Tatyana takes part in the Pearson seminars.
The Belief:
“If a teacher has only love for the subject, it will be a good teacher. If a teacher has only love for a student, as a father and mother, he will be better than the teacher, who read all the books, but has no love for the subject, nor to the students. If a teacher combines love to the subject and to his students, he is the perfect teacher“. Leo Tolstoy.
