Provision on
the Library Board
1. General provisions
The Library Board has been established for the purpose of increasing the effectiveness of the activities of the Science and Humanities Information Centre, meeting information requirements of the Academy educational and research activities.
2. Functions
The Library Board
- provides advisory assistance in organizing the Science and Humanities Information Centre work;
- renders assistance in search for means and sources of the library stock replenishment;
- carries out representative capacities. Contributes to the propaganda of all the Science and Humanities Information Centre activities, to the formation and enhancement of its image;
- promotes popularization of the Science and Humanities Information Centre stock among students and teaching staff.
3. Management and personnel
The Library Board Personnel is presented by the Science and Humanities Information Centre principal and confirmed by the University rector.
The Library Board members are: a representative of the University rector, of the University departments and subdivisions, studies committees, the Trustee Council, students’ committee, leading Science and Humanities Information Centre members.
4. Interrelations and contacts
The Library Board cooperates with all structures and subdivisions of KhUH “PUA” (Kharkiv University of Humanities “People’s Ukrainian Academy”).
The main issues are settled during the Library Board meetings (at least twice a year).
5. Activities control and check-up
The Library Board activities are accountable to the representative of the University rector.
Immediate control over the Library Board functioning is entrusted to the University first pro-rector.
6. Reorganization and closing down
The Library Board can be reorganized or closed down in accordance with the procedure established at the KhUH “PUA” (Kharkiv University of Humanities “People’s Ukrainian Academy”).
The right of the initiative for reorganizing or closing down the Library Board is granted to the University rector.
The Library Board membership is purely voluntary and can be stopped by the Board decision.
