The Council of the Academy History Museum Statute
1. General Provisions
The research and methodological Council of the Museum is a coordinating and consulting body, appointed by the Rector of the Academy, for the term of one year. It provides the research and methodological work of the Museum.
2. Functions
It determines the principal directions of the Museum activity, the structure and subject matter of exhibits.
On agreement with the Rector, it makes alterations to the Statute of PUA History Museum; chooses the strategy of further Museum development, prospects and annual work plans.
It organizes training of guides and lecturers.
It studies and generalizes the work experience of other higher schools museums.
To organize the Museum activities special work teams are made, consisting of members of the Museum Council. These teams cover all the spheres of the Museum functioning: collecting the data base, organizing excursions, giving information, doing research and providing cultural education.
3. Administration and Staff
Candidates for membership at the Museum Council and the Head of the Council are suggested by the Rector of the Academy and are approved by the Academic Board of PUA.
The number of the Museum Council members is 7-9 persons.
4. Interrelations and Contacts
The Museum Council cooperates with all structures and subdivisions of KhUH ‘PUA’, with museums of other organizations and specialists of state museums.
5. Activities Control and Check-Up
The report on the Museum Council work is annually heard at the meeting of the PUA Academic Board.
6. Reorganization and Liquidation
The Museum Council may be reorganized or liquidated in accordance with the procedure, established at PUA.
The Rector has the right to initiate reorganization or liquidation of the Council.
The Council Membership is purely voluntary and may be terminated at the Council member’s wish.
