Professorial Board Provision

1. General

The professorial Board of Kharkov University of Humanities “People’s Ukrainian Academy” (KhUH “PUA”) (hereinafter – the Board) is a permanent advisory body that promotes the effective implementation of the key tasks of KhUH “PUA” (hereinafter – Academy).

The Board carries out its activities in the spirit of academic traditions of classical universities.

The Board members are staff members of the Academy, having academic rank and/or serving as professors, as well as Honorary Professors of KhUH “PUA”.

The Board Chairman is the Rector of the Academy. By open vote the Board chooses two co-chairs from its members for 1 year. The Chairman and co-chairs prepare and carry out the meetings of the Board.

The Board meets at least 2 times a year. The meeting may be called on the initiative of the Rector of the Academy, the Academic Council of KhUH “PUA”, or at least one third of the Board members.

The Board is empowered to make recommendations on the issues discussed if the meeting is attended by at least half of its members.

2. The purpose and objectives of the Professorial Board

The main purpose of the Board is the consolidation of the most authoritative academic staff of the Academy.

The main tasks of the Board:

• Facilitate the implementation of the KhUH “PUA” mission;
• Foster quality education that meets the needs of modern society and an individual;
• Encourage the development of scientific research;
• Promote favorable environment for scientific activities, preservation and development of scientific schools.
• Monitor and accumulate the most interesting ideas and proposals in the field of scientific and educational activities in the Academy;
• Support high professional and moral level of the Academy team;

Promote and strengthen the corporate culture of the Academy.
